Nathan Cheney began his music career at the tender age of 12. He instantly fell in love with music as a saxophonist in middle school. In Humboldt, Kansas, also considered “America’s Hometown," Nathan was surrounded by vast fields and wide-open skies, an allusion to the opportunities that awaited him.

While most 16-year-olds fell in love with their high school sweethearts, Nathan fell in love with an antique guitar, a gift from his great aunt. With a will for expression, Nathan played day and night dedicating himself to a new form of music he calls “Soul Folk.”

At the age of 21, Nathan decided to finally share his music with the world. He co-directed the award-winning short documentary entitled “Punch Clock.” The soundtrack featured many original songs including “Happiness”, a favorite amongst his local following. Nathan’s free spirited themes and truthful lyrics amazed close friends and family.

Currently, Nathan is collaborating with multiple artists and performing in venues across the country.. He is a film student at Columbia College Hollywood and is actively pursuing his career. Still, Nathan manages to step away from the “Hollywood Hustle” and play the “Hometown” music that keeps him grounded amidst the busy city life.
