The Return of Tenochtitlan

Huskey Radio to Interview Fervent Emcee

Los Angeles, Ca. – September 15, 2009 – Huskey Radio (huskeyradio.com) will interview Day By Day Entertainment artist Tenochtitlan Thursday, September 24, at 8:00pm PST.

“Teno” will speak about her music, hip-hop roots and devotion to her cultural community.

Teno’s music rings with themes of educational advancement, financial independence, and the attainment of pride. Still, Teno does not consider herself a champion of any specific cause.

“Though my raps may be political at times, I don't consider myself a political rapper,” Teno said.

In fact, Teno refrains from ascribing herself any label. Teno maintains her words stem from sheer emotion.

“I volunteer for several causes, but don't feel the need to trumpet them in my music,” she continued. “I rap what I feel.”

Teno first discovered her passion for rhyming in high school spitting at open mics during lunch break. Even then, Teno’s words encouraged marginalized groups to overcome unfavorable living conditions.

Teno’s clever blends of various styles and cadences allude to her giving and positive spirit and encourage others to be positive, even if these are not her immediate intentions.

“Dream big brothers and sisters,” she declares. “And let's move on those dreams.”
